I thought I'd unbury this ancient painting from the archive section on my website for this week's Illustration Friday. This painting is from many, many years ago, but seemed fairly appropriate for today's topic:
It's even doubly appropriate, since as it happens, I'm currently working on a companion piece to this illustration which I hope to finish soon.

Cupcakes have become so popular in recent years and you will be too if you take them to work or school.I suffer from a fierce and demanding sweet-tooth, but so far the trendy cupcake has failed to seduce me. And haven't been terribly pleased with it throughout the whole process though I'm not entirely sure what exactly is bothering me. I probably just need to step away from it for a few months and then look at it with a fresh eye. Ah well, it's finished for now.

Something a little different for me...
Hope the little cottage is grounded!I've been reading some Hellboy lately and finding myself inspired yet again by Mike Mignola's work, so I thought I'd do something simple and graphic and comic-y for this week's Illustration Friday.
